Kristin Miller Hopkins

“New Topographies” (2018) is a mixed-media (watercolor, drawing, fabric, embroidery, handmade paper, cyanotype, xerox transfer) series that explores changing landscapes. Landscapes that were once clean and crisp get messy and horizon lines bleed into vast, open skies. Making mistakes morphs our terrain into fresh habitats.

Kristin has an MFA in Visual Studies from Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY and a BA in Studio Arts from Florida State University. A native of South Florida, she has had exhibited her mixed media, photography, artist books and installations nationally.

Kristin is a Professor 1 of Art and Design at Palm Beach State College, where she has been teaching for over 10 years. More of her work can be seen at www.kristinmillerhopkins.com
